In Memphis, TN there is the sun that shines in the twilight.

After the shop was closed and all those tourists were gone,
Somehow you hear people laughing, instruments playing,
And some of them singing under the sun.

Sounds so familiar.
Could be him, maybe them.
But you never see how they’re doing under the sun.

“I don’t care if the sun don’t shine” he sings,
But we all know it was him who’d let it shine.

Soon the velvety purple dawn comes.
The recordings and sessions go on until the sun belongs to us again.

テネシー州メンフィス、黄昏時に輝く太陽がある。

店が閉まり観光客が消えていくと
笑い声や楽器の音、誰かの歌う声が聞こえてくる。

聞き憶えのある声だ。彼かも知れない、いや別のあの人かも。
けれどその太陽の下で何が起きているのか知る由もない。

「太陽なんて出てこなくたってかまわない」そう彼は歌う。
でもその太陽をずっと輝かせてきたのは彼だ。

もうすぐベルベッティな紫の夜明けが訪れる。
レコーディングとセッションは続く、その太陽がまた私たちのものになるまで。
